Pastor and church attacked in Andhra

Mahabubnagar: On March 5, 2010, a group of Hindus tried to bury a body in a Christian cemetery using Hindu rituals. When the local pastor asked them to stop, they beat him. The group returned on Sunday, March 7, and forcibly locked the church and confined the pastor to his house. Pastor Devaraju of Good Shepherd Community Church from Timmajipet, Mahabubnagar reported that some Hindus were trying to bury a body in a local Christian cemetery instead of using land designated by the government for Hindu burials or cremations. The deceased was supposedly a nominal Christian who was baptized as a child.
