New aicc panel formed in Adilabad |

 All India Christian Council has formed a new committee in Adilabad, Andhra Pradesh consisting of 20 members in the district body and also four other divisions. The new office-bearers are: David (Advocate) - President; Rev Chandra Shekhar - Vice President; Rev PrabhuDass - General Secretary; and Rev Rakesh - Secretary.
The new council formation coincided with the Pastors meeting in Adilablad on 4 June 2007. The meeting was attended by around 100 Pastors from different parts of the district. Pastor Chandra Shekhar led the meeting and Rev Yesu Swamy, aicc Nizamabad district president, opened the meeting with a prayer.
Rev Satyam Yellasiri explained to them about aicc. Thereafter the Pastors shared their problems in the district. One of the Pastors working in a remote village said he was attacked by local Hindus while trying to assist a believer in whitewashing his house. The provocation came from spotting the pictures of some Hindu gods lying outside the believer's house. A Hindu fundamentalist noticed them and alerted his fellow members. They beat up the Pastor and dragged him to the local police station. A case is still pending against him.
The Pastors appreciated the initiative taken by aicc in forming a committee in the district and its active involvement in the evangelisation work.
