Part of the “Nick News with Linda Ellerbee” program, this Emmy Award-winning kids’ news show from the USA featured aicc leader Kumar Swamy and the stories of many Dalit children.

UK’s Channel 4, “India: The Broken People”, Sept. 21, 2007
One of the UK’s largest TV stations broadcast this story about Dalits as part of the “Unreported World” show. It also documents Dalit activists’ efforts and was broadcast at 19:30hrs UK time.

BBC Report, “Low-caste Hindus change faith”, Oct. 14, 2006
This news report highlights a massive rally in Napgur which was co-sponsored by aicc and called Freedom of Religion Day. The rally was held on Oct. 14 to highlight the 50th anniversary since B.R. Ambedkar led thousands of Dalits out of Hinduism and into Buddhism. The report highlights the negative affect that anti-conversion legislation has on Dalits.
