ImageA mob attacked a Catholic church in Raikia town on August 26, about 72 km from Phulbani in Orissa. The miscreants, numbering around 300, broke into the church and smashed the doors and the glass panes of the windows. They broke the statues and set ablaze a truck parked outside the church. The attack was in retaliation to a protest by some Christians against the removal of the fencing erected outside the church to plant trees.
