Council thanks Chief Minister for constituting a separate department for Christians

All India Christian Council thanked the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy for his gesture in setting up a separate department in the Minorities welfare ministry to look into the issues of Christians.

The council opined that this would ensure equitable distribution of the 127 crore rupees allocated by the government of Andhra Pradesh for the welfare of the minorities in the State.

In a letter to the Chief Minister the Council requested that the Christian Minority Finance Development Corporation also be set up at the earliest.
