Dalits to hold rally for quota |

As part of its ongoing efforts to respond to the growing anti-reservation movement, the newly formed Pro-Reservation Front organised a press meet in iNew Delh on 9 May 2006. The meet was well attended by representatives of both the print and electronic media. Addressing the meet, Udit Raj, President of Pro-Reservation Front, announced that it would hold a public meeting on 10 May, 2006 in support of OBC reservation. The Front, formed by dalit and OBC organisations like Indian Justice Party, Yadav Mahasabha, Kisan Manch, Prajapati Mahasabha, Haryana Dalit Backward Mahasabha, All India Christian Council, All India Confederation of SC/ST Organisations, Dehat Morcha and Gurjar Mahasabha, would continue to protest till the OBC reservation announced by HRD Minister Arjun Singh was implemented in letter and spirit.
