The Association of Applied Videography Professionals (AAVP) has honoured Fr Anand Muttungal for his excellent works in the field of public relations. He has been working as Public Relations Officer and spokesperson of the Regional Catholic Council of Bishops of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh from 2002.

Inaugurating a day-long get-together of professionals from the field of visual media, film industry, print media and public relations and a seminar on ‘the New Challenges in Media’ in Bhopal on 26 December 2006,  Suresh Pachori, the Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, highlighted the importance of the media in building a society in tune with the times. Professionals like film director Sudhir Mishra, Mayor of Bhopal Sunil Sood, Sahara News Vice President Prabhat Dabral, and BAG Films executive director Rajesh Badal were present.

The AAVP also honoured other experts in the media field and the founding professors of Sardar Vallbai Patel Polytechnic College Bhopal.
